Noticings

Noticings

The Insights page (labeled "noticings" in the app) surfaces the quiet patterns in your inner work over the last two weeks. It is intentionally simple — three cards, not a dashboard.

What You Will Find

Mood Sparkline A small chart showing your arriving and leaving moods across recent sessions. A headline summarises the overall drift — for example "You tend to leave a little lighter than you arrived." This is one of the most encouraging things the app can show you, if you sit regularly.

who arrives together A small visual showing which pairs of parts have appeared together most often in your sessions recently. This can reveal patterns that are hard to see in the moment — two parts that frequently show up together may have a relationship worth exploring.

Noticings The three most recent insights you saved during sessions — the moments you marked as worth keeping. Tap through to the original session if you want to revisit the context.

The shape of the work, month by month

Tap the shape of the work, month by month → at the bottom of the Insights page to open /insights/arc — a longer view of which parts have been present across the last six months.

What counts as presence A part is counted as present in a given month if you sat with it directly (a focused sitting on that part) or spoke in its voice during any session that month (a message attributed to that part in the dialogue).

What is shown Up to seven parts are shown — the ones with the most appearances across the window. Each part appears as a column across the six months, so you can see at a glance which parts have been consistent, which have grown quieter, and which have become more active. A closer or quieter label appears next to a part when its presence in the second half of the window is notably higher or lower than the first half.

How to read closer and quieter These phrases are observational, not evaluative. A part becoming quieter might mean it has settled; it might mean it has been avoided. The page cannot tell the difference, and neither word should be read as good or bad. Use it to notice a pattern, then bring it into a session if it feels worth exploring.

The page only becomes meaningful with some history — a few weeks of regular sittings produces enough data for the columns to show something real.

Self-energy

Below the six-month columns, a self-energy section shows how full your Self-energy has felt over the same window. The reflections you take draw the line — each one is a point set by the overall fullness of that flower, joined up once you have taken more than one. Your daily check-ins add faint dots around it: the one-quality question is averaged across each week and shown as a faint dot — but only once a week has at least three answers. Together they give a longer view than any single reflection can.

The section says there is nothing yet — with a link to start a reflection — until you have taken at least one reflection or a week has accumulated at least three check-in answers.

Like everything else on this page, it reads as fuller or thinner, not better or worse — and it cannot say why. Use it to notice, then bring what you notice into a session or reflection.

How to Get More from It

The Insights page becomes more meaningful the more you sit. A week of daily check-ins and a few sessions produces enough data for the sparkline and the "who arrives together" card to show something real.

Save noticings during sessions by long-pressing any facilitator message and choosing "save as a noticing." These are your own captured moments — the page simply gathers them in one quiet place.
