Settings

The Settings page (/settings) is a calm, unhurried space for personalising how AllOfYou works for you. Open it from the navigation — tap the moon icon in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.

Your Profile Card

At the top of the page you will see a card with your first name and a gentle note about how long you have been here — for example "since last autumn · 12 sits". This is a quiet reminder of the work you have already done, not a metric to optimise.

Membership

Immediately below the profile card is the Membership section. It shows your current status at a glance — one of:

  • trial — leftover 14-day period from before paid checkout; the detail line gives the date it ends. New accounts do not start a trial.
  • member — active subscription; the detail line shows your next renewal date
  • membership ending — you have cancelled but access continues until the billing period closes; the date is shown
  • you are on the early list — no charge — you were using All of You before memberships were introduced and are grandfathered at no cost
  • ended — the trial has lapsed and there is no active subscription
  • demo — the shared demo account; full access regardless of billing state
  • admin — staff accounts; full access regardless of billing state
  • not taking payments yet — a rare fail-open state; billing is not yet active on this deployment (BILLING_ENABLED is not set to true). You have full access; subscribe and manage billing are not shown
  • membership temporarily unavailable — a transient failure while checking your billing status (a momentary connectivity hiccup, not a lapsed membership). The detail line reads We could not check your membership. Please try again shortly. The actions shown are try again (which re-checks your status) and a data download link. No data is at risk and nothing you have written is affected — it usually clears on the next check

If a check like this fails while you are opening a core screen — the Dashboard, Journal, Check-in, a new part, or a new sitting — you may briefly see a full-page a moment to reconnect screen with a try again button in place of the page. It is the same transient state as above: nothing is wrong with your membership or your data, and the screen keeps quick links to your History, a data download, settings, and support. See the FAQ if it does not clear.

From this section you can:

  • subscribe — takes you to the Stripe checkout to start a £12/month membership (shown when you are not yet a member or grandfathered; hidden in the rare not taking payments yet state)
  • manage billing — opens the Stripe customer portal to update your payment method, view receipts, or cancel (shown while subscribed)
  • Download my data (JSON) — exports everything you have written, regardless of membership status

If you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until that date. Nothing is deleted when a trial or subscription ends; the practice features simply pause until you subscribe.

See the FAQ for more on membership, grandfathering, and how to cancel.

Plans and billing

There is one plan: membership at £12 a month. It starts when you pay — there is no free trial for new accounts — and it covers sittings with your parts, the journal and the map of your parts, and each part in their own voice. You can read the same summary, signed in or signed out, on the membership page. There, become a member · £12/month takes you to checkout if you are signed in; if you are not, it takes you to the sign-up page, where we email you a link to continue to payment.

Once you are a member, everything about your plan lives in Settings → Membership (above): your status and renewal date, manage billing for your card, receipts and cancelling, and Download my data (JSON), which works whether or not you are subscribed (the membership screen shown to non-members calls the same export download what I wrote). Checkout and billing run through Stripe.

The Light (Theme)

Choose from three colour atmospheres:

The light (colour theme)

Choose from three atmospheric colour themes. Each is a small watercolour swatch — tap the one that fits the moment:

  • warm — soft ochres and peachy amber; a day-lit, grounded feeling
  • dusk — muted lavender into deep slate-blue; quieter and more inward
  • fog — pale linen to dusty rose; gentle and unhurried

The selected theme changes immediately across the whole app.

Their voice

Turn text-to-speech on or off with the let parts speak aloud toggle. When on, the AI facilitator reads its responses aloud through the device speaker. The Self voice is fixed as nova (warm, unhurried); the default part voice is alloy. To set a different voice for a specific part, open that part's edit page.

Rhythm

  • An evening nudge — a quiet reminder around 9:30 pm to check in or sit. Toggle it on or off.
  • A pause between prompts — a soft two-breath pause is built into each AI exchange. This is not configurable, but is shown here so it feels intentional rather than lag.
  • Reduce motion — turn off animations throughout the app if movement is distracting or causes discomfort.

Changes take effect immediately.

What stays private

The what stays private section is where your data lives. Your account data is stored securely for use across your signed-in devices. From here you can:

  • export a sit as a page — download any sitting as Markdown or JSON from your History
  • share your practice — create a read-only link for a therapist or coach showing which parts have been present month by month, and the reflections you kept from recent sits. The conversation itself is never included. Links expire after 30 days; you can revoke any link immediately. You can hold up to three active links at once. See Sharing Your Practice for full details.
  • turn off AI consent — stops new AI requests in both All of You and Shadow Work Guide immediately; your saved writing is untouched. Reversible: the next time you use an AI feature the consent screen reappears so you can opt back in.
  • sign out everywhere — sits just above delete everything. It signs you out of every device across both All of You and Shadow Work Guide, including this browser, so you land back on the login page. Use it if you have signed in somewhere you no longer trust. Your saved work is untouched — this ends sessions only; nothing is deleted.
  • delete everything — request permanent removal of your All of You and Shadow Work Guide app data. Type delete everything to confirm. Sign-in locks immediately. Membership cancellation is confirmed before app records are erased, and uploaded files are then removed. Keep your private removal receipt to check progress. Export anything you want to keep first; the request cannot be undone.

Separate website applications/bookings and payment records are outside this deletion, and other people’s contributions are preserved. The shared demo account cannot be deleted. If your account holds retreats or programmes for other people, contact hello@allofyou.co.uk to arrange a safe transfer and deletion.

Crisis Resources

At the bottom of the page, quietly reachable, is a link to crisis support — phone lines and resources by country. It is there if tonight is heavier than this app can hold.
