Reflection

Reflection

A reflection is fourteen short statements about the last two weeks, answered on a five-point row from hardly at all to most of the time. It takes about three minutes.

What it asks

  • How much Self has been around — eight statements, one for each of the eight qualities of Self: calm, curiosity, compassion, confidence, courage, clarity, creativity and connectedness.
  • Who's been loud lately — six statements about kinds of parts: the critic, the planner, the one who wants, the protector, the one who escapes, and the small one.

What you see

Your answers become a flower with eight petals — fuller or thinner, never better or worse — and a sentence about which parts have been loudest. Your last reflection is drawn dashed behind the new one. There are no scores and no types.

When

You can take one during onboarding. If you skipped it, the dashboard offers your first reflection after your first week. After that, it returns every four weeks. Each day, the check-in also asks about one of the eight qualities, and those answers appear as faint weekly dots beside the self-energy line on Insights → over time (the line itself is drawn from your reflections).

Trying it without an account

Anyone can try the eight Self-energy statements at allofyou.app/reflect, signed in or not. Nothing you tap there is stored or sent anywhere; the flower is drawn in your browser and gone when you leave. Members' reflections, with the six "who's been loud" statements, are the ones kept.

This is a reflection, not a clinical measure. The eight qualities come from Richard Schwartz's Internal Family Systems; the statements are our own.
